The Department of Radiologic Technology at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences was founded in 1970 as one of the first academic centers dedicated to radiological sciences, located in southern Iran, at the heart of a region known for its rich history and hospitality.
Mission
The mission of the department is to educate and train competent, knowledgeable, and ethically responsible professionals in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, and Radiotherapy Technology. By integrating professional teaching with hands-on clinical and laboratory training, the department seeks to empower students with the skills required to deliver high-quality patient care, contribute to research, and respond effectively to the evolving demands of healthcare.

Key strengths & distinctive features
With a team of eight full-time faculty members, the department provides specialized education and training in Medical Imaging (Radiography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound Imaging, and Nuclear Medicine), Radiobiology, Medical and Clinical Dosimetry, Radiation Protection, and Radiation Therapy.
